Boxing training is one of the best ways to get a great workout while having fun. At Fighters Boxing Gym, we teach real boxing skills as you burn calories and get fit. Fitness boxers, aka non-contact boxers, just need to remember a few important things to maximize the workout while maximizing fun.
1) Immerse yourself. Take the opportunity to leave your troubles behind for an hour. Enjoy a reprieve from the stressors of your day.
2) Try new things. A new combo. A new piece of equipment. Expand your toolbox and access something new to keep boxing fun.
3) Switch stances. Right-handed? Try a few rounds in the southpaw stance. You can speed up skill-building by training about 5%-50% of any given workout in the opposite stance.
4) Protect your hands. Use proper hand wraps and gloves. Punch correctly. Gradually increase impact. Take care of your hands so they can take care of you.
5) Ask questions. Our coaches are in the gym to help you, but none of us are mind-readers. We love to talk boxing. Tell us your goal(s) so our coaches can get you going in the right direction.
