INTERMEDIATE BOXING

The Next Step After Basics

Our Intermediate Boxing class is built for boxers who have the fundamentals down and are ready to sharpen them. It sits between Boxing Basics and Competition Team Training: more combinations, more pad and bag work under pace, and the kind of repetition that turns a beginner's stance into a fighter's habit.

Who It’s For

Boxers who have been through Boxing Basics, or who already move comfortably through stance, footwork, and the core punches, and want more before committing to the Competition Team. If you are not sure which class fits you yet, ask a coach; that is exactly what they are there for.

What It Builds

Combinations under pace, defense against a moving partner, and the conditioning that holds up past the first round. It is the bridge between learning the sport and testing yourself in it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Boxing Basics, Competition Team Training and Open Gym?
Boxing Basics is the coached class where you learn and drill fundamentals, and it is where new members start. Competition Team Training is the advanced program: sparring, conditioning, technical refinement, ring IQ, training alongside active competitors. Open gym is unstructured time to work the bags, shadowbox, and put in your own rounds. See the full week on the schedule.
Will I have to spar?
No. Sparring is something you opt into once your coach thinks you are ready for it, and plenty of members train for years without ever taking a hard round. When you do want it, there is a path: sparring starts in the Intermediate class, then competition sparring with the team.
Do I need to be in shape before I start boxing?
No. Getting in shape is what the training does to you. Boxing conditioning is built around rounds, so you work, rest, and work again, which means you can go at your own effort level while learning the same skills as everyone else in the room. If you can walk in the door, you can start. Tell your coach about any injuries before class and they will adjust what you do.
Is this a real boxing gym or a fitness boxing class?
Fighters is a real boxing gym. Classes focus on technique, rounds, coaching corrections, partner work, and a clear path to sparring and competition for members who want it. There is no choreography and no punch counter on a screen. You will get very fit here, but fitness is the byproduct of learning to box rather than the product being sold.
